Dr. Deming's "New Logo"

I received an Email today from the Deming Institute written by Dr. Deming’s Grandson Kevin Cahill introducing their new corporate logo.

WASHINGTON, DC (July 18, 2011) - The W. Edwards Deming Institute®, a nonprofit corporation that provides educational services related to the theories and teachings of Dr. W. Edwards Deming, today announces the introduction of a new logo as the first step in refreshing the organization's corporate identity to better reflect and support a number of new initiatives.

I am pleased with the new logo because it is not flashy or gimmicky. It just states the obvious. That is what Dr. Deming did time after time was to state the obvious. He foretold what would happen to the United States in his books out of the crisis and The New Economics”

No one has influenced me more than Dr. Deming. From the first time I saw him and met him over 20 years ago at a seminar in Flint Michigan I have continuously researched, read and learned everything I could about my mentor.

At least once or twice a week I pop in one of VHS tapes of his complete series that was produced in the 90s. I have over 30 tapes involving him or others that provide information.

I encourage you to discover or rediscover his teachings. He taught us about Profound Knowledge and the Transformation that is needed in our society and industry that is more relevant today than back in the 80s and 90s.

In his Email, Mr. Cahill writes “In the last 12 months, The Deming Institute has embarked on developing a number of new initiatives in the areas of business and education, which leverage and promote Dr. Deming's seminal theories and practices."
